Job Summary
A laboratory service is in need of a Telecommuting Business Development Director in the Southeast.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Providing central laboratory services to the biopharmaceutical industry
- Identifying and securing new business
- Maintaining professional relationships with the existing client base
Required Skills:
- 30% overnight travel required- some weekends
- Combination of business development experience and laboratory knowledge within the central laboratory or contract research industry
- Proven track record working with mid and high level industry contacts within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with operations, finance, and marketing departments
- Ability to provide follow-up to expand relationships and business opportunities
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel, familiarity with sales automation systems
