Job Summary
A hospital company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Coder III in Franklin.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing remote coding for company hospitals via scanned medical records and abstracts
- Reviewing patient records and assigns accurate codes for each diagnosis and procedure
Qualifications for this position include:
- Travel will be less than 5%
- ICD-10-CM & PCS trained, required
- One or more of the following certifications CCS, RHIA, or RHIT required
- Maintaining a 95% coding accuracy rate
- Broad knowledge of pharmacology indications for drug usage and related adverse reactions
- Thorough knowledge of the related prospective payment systems
