Job Summary

A non profit organization is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommuting Community Organizer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Identify, develop, and manage campaigns aimed at undermining the power, influence, credibility, and reach of white supremacist/nationalist groups
  • Support chapters and partners when white supremacist groups target specific communities with hatred and violence
  • Drive communications strategy and/or partner with cultural organizers and narrative specialists to identify and move messages that will decrease the power and reach of white supremacist groups

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • This position requires approximately 25% travel
  • At least three years of experience in campaign development, base-building and/or leadership development of members in grassroots organizing context
  • Experience designing and leading teams through processes of campaign or action planning, execution, and evaluation
  • Experience designing and facilitating meetings, trainings, and/or group gatherings that move people into action
  • Experience with rapid response organizing that builds toward longer-term campaigns
  • Willingness to speak up, suggest new ideas, receive feedback, and adjust plans to ensure successful completion of goals, and be part of the solution
