Job Summary

A company that provides a streaming platform is seeking a Telecommuting Customer Operations Engineer on the East Coast.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Working with customers to resolve a wide range of issues with their deployments
  • Contributing to process development
  • Communicating with our core engineering team to provide real-time product feedback from the field

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Excitement in learning about streaming data and becoming a domain expert in Apache Kafka
  • Experience in diagnosing, reproducing, and resolving customer issues
  • Desire to make customers successful through direct interaction
  • Experience troubleshooting applications running on Linux
  • Operational knowledge of Java applications
  • Experience with at least one mainstream distributed system
