Job Summary
A small business is filling a position for a Telecommuting Cyber Security Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Using a Governance Risk Control tool for risk management
- Auditing against NIST 800-53 and VA 6500 requirements in the environment
- Deploying a mission critical IT system for the Department of Veterans Affairs
Qualifications Include:
- Occasional travel may be required
- Ability to successfully pass VA background investigation.
- Experience making recommendations for security controls
- 4+ years of experience in managing security programs for a variety of IT products, systems and networks both small and large and complex
- 2+ years NIST 800-53 and Assessment and Authorization experience required
- Experience in coordinating with organizational security teams to ensure program consistency and compliance with all security requirements
