Job Summary
Software company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Data Engineer.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Sourcing and developing data models to fuel the analytics developed by analysts and data scientists
- Delivering data acquisition, transformations, cleansing, conversion, compression, and loading of data
- Working in partnership with data scientists and and analysts to understand use cases, data needs, and outcome objectives
Position Requirements Include:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related and 2 to 4 years of professional experience
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
- Demonstrable expertise with Python, Elasticsearch, and Spark, wrangling of various data formats
- Experience with Agile methodology, using test-driven development
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Self-driven problem solver
