Job Summary

A software developer is seeking a Telecommuting Data Visualization and Research Communications UX Designer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Delivering data visualizations, interactive information graphics, and data-heavy microsites
  • Publishing data and information in visual and interactive ways on the web

Qualifications Include:

  • Experience working on web-based data visualizations is required, and work experience in a news organization or research non-profit is a major plus
  • Strong visual design skills are required
  • Capable with data visualization libraries and tools such as D3, HighCharts, and others
  • Working knowledge of JavaScript and other web programming languages in order to work as part of a team to deliver end-to-end web interactives
  • Experience building applications into larger web products is a plus, especially integrating with CMS systems such as WordPress
  • Have very strong written and verbal communication skills
