Job Summary
A university is seeking a Telecommuting Department of Surgery Chair.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Providing content expertise in Surgery assessing new sites for possible clinical engagement with RUSM
- Conducting site visits at least every 2 years to review the performance and student outcomes in Surgery at every core clinical site
- Monitoring and assuring adherence with core curriculum requirements in Surgery at each clinical site
Position Requirements Include:
- Able to meet domestic and international requirements for travel
- Active Board certification in Surgery
- M.D. or equivalent terminal medical degree from an accredited US, Canadian, or UK school of medicine
- Active license to practice surgery in the US, Canada, or UK
- Minimum of ten years of experience teaching medical students and /or residents in Surgery
- Demonstrated record of achievement in medical administration within a hospital, clinic, medical school, clinical practice, or health setting
