Job Summary

A market based education reform mill is in need of a Telecommuting External Relations Associate Director in San Francisco.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Driving the execution of the company's development and communications strategies
  • Designing and implementing external relations processes and systems
  • Tracking the effectiveness of, and refining, the company's development strategy over time

Qualifications for this position include:

  • In-person meetings may be required up to 4 times per month in Napa, California
  • At least 7 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, including specific expertise in individual giving
  • A deep love of persuasive, compelling storytelling in service of organizational fundraising/communications goals
  • Proven ability to identify and/or appropriately assess prospects for funding from individual donors and/or foundations
  • Demonstrated track record of effective lateral and upwards management to achieve goals
  • Demonstrated track record of building systems that support sustainable, effective, and efficient relationship building, development and communications efforts
