Job Summary
A healthcare company has a current position open for a Telecommuting HCC Auditor in New Orleans.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing and auditing previously coded charts
- Providing educational feedback based on the results of QA findings
- Reporting any identified coding error trends
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- 2 years coding experience
- Extensive knowledge of ICD -10
- Familiar with HCC coding
- A strong knowledge base of medical terminology, medical abbreviations, pharmacology and disease processes
- Working knowledge of the business use of computer hardware and software
- AHIMA certified credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS) or AAPC certified credentials
