Job Summary

A healthcare company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommuting Health Research Senior Data Scientist in Raleigh.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

• Extraction and analysis of large healthcare claims data using SAS, SQL, R, Teradata, Hadoop, etc
• Opportunity analysis including descriptive and multivariate statistics to identify patterns in the data
• Matched case-control studies and/or randomized control trials for determining the effectiveness of health program services and solutions

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel 25% of the time
• Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology or equivalent training
• Experience with statistical software, SAS, SQL, R, Teradata, Hadoop, etc
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Deep healthcare data (e.g., ICD-9/ICD-10, claims, profiling), statistical analysis experience
• Demonstrated understanding of healthcare and delivery system processes
