Job Summary
A well-known health insurance company has an open position for a Telecommuting Healthcare Risk Education Consultant.
Must be able to:
- Educate providers on how to properly document medical services and interventions
- Lead work groups to develop learning strategies to improve health care delivery performance
- Participate in the establishment of coding guidelines for vendors, providers, and internal staff
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Travel required 25 - 50%
- Minimum of 6 years recent and related experience in medical record documentation review, diagnosis coding, and/or auditing
- RN with current unrestricted state licensure required
- 3 years clinical experience
- CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician) required
- All other requirements listed by the company
