Job Summary

A staffing company is filling a position for a Telecommuting HIM Coder 2 in Franklin.

Must be able to:

• Code for the organization via abstracts and scanned medical records
• Code outpatient surgeries, observations, cardiac catheterizations, interventional radiology and wound care records
• Cooperate with manager, corporate coding to solve difficult coding issues

Position Requirements Include:

• Experienced in ICD-10-CM & PCS (mandatory)
• More than 2 years of experience in hospital inpatient coding
• Deep knowledge of Prospective Payment Systems
• Must have knowledge of Anatomy, medical terminology, and Ancillary testing
• Seasoned with mainframe applications, PC and encoding system
