Job Summary

A staffing agency is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommuting Inpatient Veterans Affairs Coder.

Core Responsibilities Include:

• Assigning accurate codes from current coding conventions
• Adhering to coding practices, guidelines and conventions when choosing appropriate codes
• Reviewing patient record to abstract medical, surgical, ancillary, demographic, social, and administrative data

Required Skills:

• Must have a current NACI or have the ability to pass Federal Background Investigation
• Must have high speed internet connection
• Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week and maintain internal productivity and accuracy requirements
• Must have a minimum of two years Veterans Affairs coding experience
• CCS, RHIT, RHIA
