Job Summary
A medical company is in need of a Telecommuting Internal Medicine with Multi Specialty Physician Coder in Mandeville.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing and accurately coding all professional services
- Adhering to company's internal coding policies
- Prioritizing daily duties, multitask, communicate effectively and make decisions
Qualifications for this position include:
- A minimum of a high-school diploma
- Successful completion of at least one AHIMA or AAPC certified program with achievement of the correlating professional credential (CCS, CPC, etc.); active and in good standing
- Must have a CPC or CCS and this is in addition to the RHIT or RHIA
- Must have proficient knowledge of medical terminology, CPT and/or ICD-9/10 coding and Medicare and Medicaid billing policies for professional services
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows and healthcare information and billing systems
