Job Summary

An online clinician social network has a current position open for a Telecommuting Kafka DevOps Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Deploying, maintaining, advising on all things Kafka
  • Working on automating tasks using Jenkins
  • Troubleshooting system issues and coming up with solutions

Qualifications Include:

  • 5+ years of solid Linux/UNIX systems engineer/administrator experience
  • Proficiency deploying and managing Kafka clusters in production
  • Automation experience with configuration tools such as Chef, Ansible, or Puppet
  • Significant experience with MySQL, Spark, Airflow, Snowflake, Hive, Kafka, AWS basics
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience administering an RDB
  • Experience automating application deployments with Capistrano or Jenkins
