Telecommuting Laboratory Director

Job Summary

A research company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommuting Laboratory Director.

Must be able to:

• Design assay validation studies
• Lead curation team to work with computational biologists and research scientists on product development efforts
• Collaborate with software engineering team to design, optimize, and automate QC and data review interfaces

Qualifications Include:

• Travel to headquarters one week a month, if working remotely
• Experience with: Interpreting variants in the context of the medical literature (experience with germline diagnostics including hereditary cancer syndromes or exome sequencing desired),
• Corresponding with medical geneticists and oncologists on interpretation of results
• Design of gene panels and molecular tests
• Reviewing results of germline and/or somatic NGS assays for validity
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
