Job Summary

A non profit organization is filling a position for a Telecommuting Legal Advocacy Manager.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Identify opportunities for state and federal legislation to protect farmed animals
  • Oversee administrative law staff attorney(s) in preparing petitions, legal complaints, rulemaking comments, and testimony for various state and federal farmed animal initiatives
  • Follow all human resource and operational procedures

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Willingness and ability to travel on short notice
  • Fluency in English required. Professional appearance and adherence to a vegan lifestyle
  • Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience practicing law
  • Law degree from a U.S.-accredited law school
  • Thorough knowledge of animal rights legal issues
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver presentations, address and overcome problems, and negotiate with third parties
