Job Summary
A technology company has an open position for a Telecommuting Linux Kernel File System Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Designing and developing tests to measure functional and performance requirements
- Performing technical analysis of performance problems throughout the software stack
- Designing and developing new file system features to meet product and customer demands
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Experience developing and/or testing a widely deployed file system
- Excellent knowledge of at least one major kernel subsystem
- Excellent knowledge of the C programming language
- Excellent knowledge of scripting languages used for test automation, withPerl and Python being particularly advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of workload characterization
- All other requirements listed by the company
