Job Summary

A nonprofit organization needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Major Gifts Director in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Must be able to:

• Develop and cultivate Board and/or Committee memberships
• Develop and identify major gift prospects
• Execute Major Gifts Event Planning

Required Skills:

• Face-to-face meetings for solicitation, cultivation and recognition of donors
• Strong understanding of donor research, identification, cultivation and solicitation, and stewardship
• At least 5 years of relative experience in sales/fundraising
• Proven success in asking for and closing gifts and building and maintaining long-term relationships
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
