Job Summary
A healthcare company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Medical Coder.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Reviewing inpatient charts to determine all diagnoses/procedure codes
- Recognizing incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous documentation and initiate physician queries
- Maintaining 95% DRG and overall accuracy rate
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 2+ years working as a Medical Coder
- Minimum of successful completion of a coding certificate program in a program with AHIMA or AAPCapproval status
- RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC and CCS-P certification status preferred
- Coding certification preferred from the American Health Information Management Association
