Job Summary

A staffing company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Medical Coding Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Assigning codes based on documentation from medical records
  • Coding services that meet the needs of our clients hospitals and clinics
  • Adhering to the correct CMS approved guidelines

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Must have current CCS, CCS-P, RHIT or CPC certification
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Maintain at least 95 percent accuracy
  • Completion of a Health Information Technology or Coding education program
  • Minimum of 2 years of coding experience
