Job Summary
A computer software company is in need of a Telecommuting Linux Systems Administrator.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing and automating daily support, helpdesk tickets, monitoring, maintenance and administration of various systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, or other network and system problems
- Implementing and configuring servers
Qualifications for this position include:
- At least 2 years of Systems and Networking Administration experience
- Experience working with a wide range of diagnostic utilities
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, etc or related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in writing complex shell scripts
- Good command of SQL
- Strong documentation skills and the ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues
