Job Summary
An innovative non-profit civil rights organization dedicated to advancing the rights of persons with disabilities and cancer has a current position open for a Telecommuting Mid Level Staff Attorney.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Representing many of the the company's clients
- Work includes individual and impact litigation
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- JD, admitted to practice in California
- Minimum 4 years experience, which should include undertaking factual investigation into potential cases, conducting legal research to develop legal claims, propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, writing briefs, preparing for and participating in settlement negotiations and implementing settlement agreements or consent decrees
- Knowledge of Disability Rights Law and/or patient rights/health law
