Job Summary
A software company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Open Source Support Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Working directly with customers and the community to solve development and operational issues
- Writing blog posts, speaking at user groups/conferences, and helping with benchmarks
- Researching, identifying, reproducing and documenting bugs
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be able to travel
- Must live in the US Mountain and Pacific time zones
- Have production experience in Windows and/or *NIX system administration
- Spring, Hibernate, network programming and concurrency
- Demonstrate proficiency with Java
- Be able to troubleshoot and tune for performance (TCP/IP, Multicast, JVM Garbage Collection)
