Job Summary
A computer software company has a current position open for a Telecommuting Principal Development Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Developing and/or enhancing solutions that meet business needs
- Designing reusable APIs and build repeatable templates for common functions
- Taking ownership of the architecture, design, implementation, testing and operations of components of the infrastructure platform
Position Requirements Include:
- 5+ years experience in production service trouble-shooting that spans applications, systems and network
- Solid understanding of Unix/Linux internals
- Working knowledge of one or more automation tools like Ansible, Chef
- Demonstrable knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, distributed systems, and experience supporting multi-tier web application architectures
- Demonstrated experienced coding skills in Python and Bash
- Solid understanding of application design, including the operational trade-offs of various designs
