A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommuting Procurement Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Contributing to the development of an effective set of cost models to track target cost status for assigned product
- Executing factory related supplier improvement actions
- Ordering tools and samples related to new product development
Qualifications for this position include:
- 1+ years of experience in a high volume assembly-type industry in procurement and sourcing related functions
- Bachelors of Science or comparable degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Bio-Medical or Aerospace Engineering
- Understanding the principles of Value Engineering and/or LEAN
- Understanding the principles of Executing Cost Down projects and New Product Introduction projects
