Job Summary

An IT and services company has an open position for a Telecommuting Professional Services Big Data-Hadoop Architect.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Delivering on-site technical engagements with partners and customers
• Helping partners and customers learn and use company's services
• Understanding customer requirements, creating consulting proposals and creating packaged Big Data service offerings

Required Skills:

• Ability to travel to client locations when needed
• Implementation and tuning experience for Apache Hadoop + tools such as Pig and Hive
• BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years' experience of IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges in an enterprise environment
• Customer facing skills
