An engineering company has an open position for a Telecommuting Senior Big Data Architect in Gaitherburg.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Ensuring the architecture supports all functional and non-functional requirements
- Building high-efficiency, real-time data pipelines for ingest and processing
- Shaping and implementing big data architectures
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Travel 10% of the time
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related STEM major, plus 12 years of relevant experience
- Demonstrated experience in defining and implementing such architectures
- Ability to build and maintain resilient, interface-oriented architectures
- Experience with REST APIs, Java and Python
- Experience developing architectures with multiple big data technologies
