Job Summary
A company that provides services to government and commercial sectors is in need of a Telecommuting Senior Occupational Safety and Health Specialist in the Detroit Area.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Performing safety inspections, and evaluations to identify potential hazards
- Providing safety and health assistance to management
- Investigating complaints and reports of unsafe or unhealthful working conditions
Required Skills:
- Must be able to travel
- MUST be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in safety, industrial hygiene, environmental health, health physics, or other safety related field
- six (6) years of work experience in occupational safety and health is required
- One (1) year of experience must be in a supervisory role
- Must hold a Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist certification
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations, to include 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926, 29 CFR 1904, and 29 CFR 1960
