Job Summary
A non-profit organization is in need of a Telecommuting Senior Platforms and Services Director.
Must be able to:
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to senior engineering and product management personnel
- Identify, negotiate, and execute priority technical partnerships with the private and public sector
- Design and oversee all areas of operations, staffing and budgeting
Qualifications for this position include:
- Global travel up to 30% of the time
- 15+ years of experience in the software industry, with a balanced understanding of the business and technical elements of the industry
- 10+ experience leading and managing distributed product development teams from design to delivery of product solutions; requires experience “shipping” a product for +5million users
- 10+ years managing virtual teams to accomplish goals. Applicant is expected to have demonstrated ability to move virtual teams from strategy to delivery
- Working relationships in the development sector including key actors such as governments, multi-lateral agencies, association and funders
- Experience shaping new business solutions that complement technical requirementsBachelor’s degree or equivalent in business and/or computer science related fields
