Job Summary

A university is filling a position for a Telecommuting Sociology Visiting Professor.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Developing and providing students with an approved syllabus which includes the terminal course objectives
• Using appropriate technological options for online technologies and course-related software
• Modeling effective strategied communications that engage online students, provide clarity, and improve student learning.

Qualifications Include:

• Earned a master's or doctorate degree in Sociology with a minimum of 18 or more graduate credit hours earned directly in Sociology
• Must have at least 15-credit hours of higher education teaching experience
• Possess genuine passion for education and lifelong learning
• Have exceptional subject matter expertise as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Are eager to serve students and colleagues with passion, respect and care
• Are able to provide official transcripts for all earned degrees from a regionally accredited institution
