Job Summary
We are interested in hiring Stenographers to transcribe verbatim pre-recorded, unscripted footage.
Daily Transcription is a transcription services company that primarily deals with the transcription of entertainment files such as cooking shows and reality television shows but we do have other files come in from time to time and are looking to expand our horizons.
Tasks/Responsibilities: transcribe pre-recorded video footage verbatim, proofread and edit transcript, if necessary make sure transcript is converted properly to a .doc file in Word, comply with all procedures and style guides for each assignment.
The ideal candidate we are seeking is a Steno who uses the Plover Software or compatible software and a keyboard compatible with the software that can type directly into Word or transcription program. The ability to plug in timecodes is a must.

Whatever method used for transcribing, the transcription submitted must be in .doc format. And time codes must be able to be inputted.
You will need to pass a test evaluation in order to be considered for this 1099 position.
This is a remote position.
We look to hire within our team of transcribers. A successful transcriber will be given the opportunity for advancement with more detailed, ambitious transcription, such as As-Broadcast and Continuity Scripts which pay at a much higher level due to their need for exactness in verbatim and format. We also have positions open from time to time with Quality Control that require dedication and high-attention to detail for our formats and procedures.

This is a 1099 contractor position which means work is not guaranteed and you are hired from project to project.
