Job Summary

A food distribution company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommuting Sustainability Coordinator in San Francisco.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Supervising green business certification process and related projects
  • Educating local farming communities on the program
  • Overseeing and assisting in both the local farm and hospitality partner application process

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability and desire to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience in sales, marketing, and customer service
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working in food systems, sustainability, or agriculture
  • Knowledge or ability to learn about essential food safety topics including Good Agricultural Practices and the Harmonized Food Safety Standard
  • Has the ability to develop strong and lasting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
