Job Summary
A software company is in need of a Telecommuting Technical Consultant.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Understanding the customer needs, identifying standard or custom solutions, and engineering creative solutions that address technical and business requirements
- Working across multiple projects simultaneously and maintain the communication on the status of implementation for assigned tasks both with the customer and internal teams
- Writing technical specification documents that will be used to develop new scripts, reports, or interfaces
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Up to 30% travel
- S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in programming languages such as .NET, C#, and scripting languages
- Working knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL)
- Read and understand programs written by other programmers
- Strong ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people
