Job Summary

A nonprofit organization is filling a position for a Telecommuting Underwriter.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Actively engaging in the self-managed activities of their team
  • Ensuring high level of customer satisfaction
  • Contributing to accurate and consistent risk selection as well as fraud detection

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Attend paid training and travel for 3 weeks upon start date, ongoing travel is less than 15%.
  • 3+ years of individual life underwriting experience is required
  • Familiarity with contract law and regulations governing underwriting practices
  • Excellent PC skills and accuracy
  • Demonstrated experience using creative, problem solving skills with the ability to work in ambiguity
  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or three years of relevant experience
