Telephone Operator

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Telephone Operator to serve as the initial point of contact for incoming calls.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and connect callers with the appropriate extension
• Take and relay messages accurately and respond to emergency calls promptly
• Perform operator functions, including triaging calls and maintaining workflow through clerical duties

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 2-3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting
• Ability to sit for long periods and perform manual tasks such as operating office equipment
• Vision correctable to 20/20 and hearing within normal range for telephone contacts
• Ability to maintain a confidential home office environment
