Temporary Consumer Protection Counsel

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Consumer Protection Counsel (UDAAP).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal review and analysis on account restrictions, closures, and consumer protection issues
• Guide product and customer support teams on consumer protection matters, including disputes and identity theft
• Draft and review policies, procedures, and customer communications related to consumer protection and disputes

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience dealing with consumer protection issues
• Expertise in financial services consumer protection laws (KYC/CIP, Regulation Z, Regulation E, UDAAP, UDAP)
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active membership in at least one state bar
• Experience in fraud and payments issues is beneficial
• Excellent drafting skills
