Temporary Employment Attorney

Job Summary

A top company is seeking a highly motivated attorney with a passion for employment to work on a contract assignment on the Employment Counsel Team on a temporary basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide advice and counseling on contingent workers, background checks, employee requests to participate in outside activities / outside employment, and other matters as needed
• Investigate and respond to claims, demand letters, administrative complaints, audits, and other employment related inquiries
• Evaluate employment practices, policies, and processes to assess and execute priorities, and ensure compliance

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience focused on employment law
• Significant experience analyzing and providing advice on state, federal, and local wage and hour compliance
• Experience with class, collective, and representative actions
• Employment litigation experience
• J.D. degree and membership in at least one state bar
