Job Summary
Providing business-focused legal counsel, the temporary Associate General Counsel, Employment Law will advise Human Resources and business leaders on employment matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws while working remotely for an expected duration of 12-18 months.
Key responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day employment law advice and counsel to Human Resources and business leaders
- Assess legal risk and recommend practical solutions that align with business objectives
- Advise management on complex employment matters, including compliance with employment laws
Required qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law
- 8+ years of in-house employment law counseling experience in a multi-state organization
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Experience responding to agency charges and employment-related disputes
- Sound legal and business judgment with the ability to manage complex matters independently
