Temporary Legal Counsel - Insurance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel - Insurance/Annuity/Broker/Dealer (Temporary contract, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, governance, litigation, and regulatory compliance
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and third-party agreements
• Manage litigation and oversee compliance programs while partnering with business stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• Experience as a lawyer in the life insurance/annuity or broker/dealer industry
• Strong knowledge of annuities, life insurance, and consumer financial products
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar
• Prior experience with a large multinational law firm and/or in-house legal department
• Ability to work full-time without outside commitments
