Temporary Legal Counsel - Insurance

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Counsel - Insurance/Annuity/Broker/Dealer (Temporary contract, Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, corporate transactions, governance, litigation, and regulatory compliance
• Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and third-party agreements
• Manage litigation and oversee compliance programs and corporate governance matters

Required Qualifications and Education

• Experience as a lawyer in the life insurance/annuity, broker/dealer, or related industry
• Focus on annuities, life insurance, and consumer financial products preferred
• Strong educational background including a B.A./B.S. and J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admittance to at least one state bar, preferably NY, TX, or CA
• Prior experience with a large multinational law firm and/or in-house legal department
