Temporary Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the payroll functions for a complex and fast-growing veterinary services organization, the full-time Temporary Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for over 4,000 employees across 220 practices while working remotely for a duration of three months with potential for extension.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day payroll functions in ADP Workforce Now, ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and timely processing
• Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and Operations teams to integrate payroll processes and resolve discrepancies within 48 business hours
• Maintain relationships with external payroll and tax vendors, and participate in the analysis and implementation of new payroll systems to enhance efficiency

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll operations management
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll rules and U.S. payroll tax regulations
• Extensive experience with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
