Temporary Pharmacy Benefits Specialist
Job Summary
To support pharmacy program initiatives, the full-time Temporary Pharmacy Benefits Specialist will coordinate activities between internal teams and third-party administrators, manage pharmacy benefit changes, and provide training on pharmacy systems while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Documents and triages pharmacy benefit-related calls and ensures accuracy in pharmacy systems
- Provides training and develops educational materials for internal staff regarding pharmacy benefits and systems
- Analyzes pharmacy utilization trends and supports quality improvement initiatives and audits
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
- 2+ years of administrative or relevant experience, preferably in healthcare benefits or as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of medical terminology and PBM third-party billing
- Strong mathematical ability and experience reconciling financial reports
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally and independently
