A company is looking for a Temporary Editor for its Politics, Policy, and Ideas team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, assign, and edit pieces rooted in reporting and research, including explainers and features
• Collaborate with editors to elevate writers' work across various platforms, including audio and video
• Set daily coverage priorities in collaboration with the Editorial Director and other editors

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience as an editor and manager
• Strong editorial judgment and excellent editing skills
• Concise and clever headline writing abilities
• Understanding of the editorial strategy and alignment with written work
• Familiarity with a wide range of topics, including domestic and international issues
