Temporary Production Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Temporary Production Editor to assist with various titles across adult, kids, and classics groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Traffic books to meet deadlines and ensure overall quality
• Collaborate with in-house departments including Editorial, Design, and Production
• Copyedit, proofread, and manage jacket and cover materials from original copy through final proof

Required Qualifications

• Relevant work experience, preferably in trade publishing
• Knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style
• Strong MS Word skills and knowledge of electronic copyediting and PDF markup
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
