Tennessee Licensed Authorization Coordinator

Job Summary

To support efficient post-acute care services, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Authorization Coordinator will manage day-to-day admissions processes, perform insurance verifications, and ensure timely approval communications while working remotely with occasional onsite meetings in the Nashville, TN area.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre-certifications and insurance verifications, ensuring data integrity in referral tracking
• Coordinate final admission approvals through effective communication with medical and clinical staff
• Gather clinical information to facilitate the insurance approval process and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization

Required qualifications

• Current LVN, LPN, RN, PT, OT, or SLP license preferred
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited nursing program preferred
• 1 year of experience with Managed Care insurance plans and the approval process in post-acute care required
• Strong interpersonal and program development skills required
