Job Summary
To support claims processing, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Casualty Specialist will conduct investigations, evaluate claims for liability and damages, and negotiate settlements while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Plans and conducts investigations to analyze coverage and determine liability and compensability
- Evaluates policy coverage and assesses damages while maintaining accurate records of claims processing
- Negotiates settlements and determines the need for independent adjusters and experts as necessary
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency required; a 2-year degree or higher in a related field is preferred
- At least one year of automobile liability experience is required
- A minimum of 2 years of previous auto liability claim handling experience or 1 year of bodily injury claims experience is preferred
- Must hold or be able to secure an adjuster license within 60 days of employment
- Knowledge of applicable insurance statutes, regulations, and case law is essential
