Job Summary
To support timely provider onboarding and patient care coverage, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Credentialing Specialist will process applications, perform primary source verifications, and maintain compliance with credentialing standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Process initial appointments, reappointments, and privileging applications for healthcare providers
- Perform comprehensive primary source verification of licensure and other credentialing requirements
- Maintain provider credentialing records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Required qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of provider credentialing experience, preferably in a hospital setting
- Experience with primary source verification and credentialing compliance activities
- Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and NCQA credentialing standards
- Familiarity with credentialing systems such as MD-Staff or similar platforms
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience
