Job Summary
To support timely provider onboarding and patient care coverage, the full-time Tennessee Licensed Credentialing Specialist will process applications, perform primary source verifications, and maintain compliance records in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Process initial appointments, reappointments, and privileging applications for healthcare providers in accordance with relevant standards and policies
- Perform comprehensive primary source verification of credentials, including licensure, education, and work history
- Maintain accurate provider credentialing records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience
- Minimum 2 years of provider credentialing experience, with hospital Medical Staff credentialing preferred
- Experience in primary source verification and credentialing compliance activities
- Familiarity with Joint Commission, CMS, NCQA standards, and credentialing systems such as MD-Staff
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a remote setting
